Tenth grade exams results
There were 5 students from Home of Love that took the important SSC exam this past April. After studying for one entire year they went hopeful and yet doubtful as the test is extremely difficult. Last week we received the e-mail informing us that only 2 have passed. We are disappointed but not disheartened as they will have another chance next year. The 2 students that did pass are great people, one wants to become a nurse and I promised I would do all we could to get her into nursing college if she passed. The other is an aspiring artist with real talent who would love to study art. Would you pray that God opens doors for these two young people? They are both committed to God and have proven themselves to us in many ways. They will need more funds if they get admitted into college but we trust in God's good provision for them. Congratulations Apiah and Ronald!

Our time in Germany is over
It has been so nice to be in Germany visiting our friends, family and supporters. We have been spoiled with strawberries, cherries, sausages, amazing cakes and good strong German coffee. It has been fun but also very tiring. Traipsing over 7000 kilometers in the car with children that have rarely used seat belts and meeting new people each day has been wearing. We do rejoice though at the openness of the churches to mission and Bangladesh. It's inspiring and encouraging to see so many people wanting to help "Home of Love" in different ways. In the next years we expect to see some come over on short mission trips to help us. Our own kids surprised us with learning German in a very short time, they had it all in their minds but we wondered if they'd be able to speak as they hadn't needed to before. They did terrific with God's help. In 42 days we were able to make many visits, including church meetings, youth groups, women's breakfast and individual houses. Thank you Lord for strengthening and equipping us to do Your work!

Greetings from the orphanage

Pinta and Bristi are good friends. The older ones take good care of the younger brothers and sisters.
